A letter from our new Executive Director

Dear Friends of the Cooperative Council of NC, It is my honor and privilege to join CCNC as the new Executive Director.

I first learned of the Council when I was working at a cooperative. In that role, I was new to the cooperative movement but quickly introduced to the Cooperative Principles — the values that guide all cooperatives. Then, after attending the Principles & Philosophy Conference — a workshop hosted by the Carolinas Credit Union League — I knew the cooperative industry was one I would forever believe in and support.

To the CCNC, I bring experience in fundraising, marketing, community relations, event planning, membership development, education, training, management and more. Aside from work experience, I also bring a passion for the Council’s mission to educate, connect and promote cooperatives. I strongly believe and adhere to the 8 Cooperative Principles, and have a deep understanding of the need for cooperatives around the world and, importantly, here at home.

By working cooperatively, I truly believe we can improve our communities.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank those who have made CCNC what it is now. My predecessor, Emily Nail, for paving the way and our active Board of Directors, supportive committee members, loyal Council members and community partners who keep us moving. Together, I know we will continue to rise.

With much excitement, I look forward to supporting you, your cooperative, your members and our communities.

Together, we can do so much!

Gratefully,
