Cooperative Leadership Camp, also known as CLC, is a week-long summer camp for high school students ready to discover how they can make a difference in the world through cooperative business.
Attendees will learn about cooperatives, leadership and team building while connecting with leaders from across the state!
Through industry-specific workshops and more, students will engage in experiential learning of the 8 Cooperative Principles, create real business and marketing plans, practice managing a real-life budget, identify and resolve real business challenges — all while having a great summer camp experience! Deadline EXTENDED: April 30, 2023
As a teacher or cooperative staff member you are invited to attend camp for the week as a chaperone. Please complete the Chaperone Form as well as the Background Check Form.
In addition to hands-on learning about the big world of cooperatives, students get a fun overnight camp experience, including swimming, lake activities and lots of camp fun.
All meals are included, and lodging is in air-conditioned bunk houses. Bus transportation to and from designated locations across the state is also available and included for attendees.
To Educate, Connect and Promote future co-op leaders
The cooperative business model is at the center of all we do at #CLC. Camp is sponsored by North Carolina cooperatives, which means it’s free to the selected students!
Cooperative Leadership Camp attendees are also eligible to apply for the $1,000 Jim Graham Leadership Scholarship during their senior year of high school.
